why is it that whenever I download a program, my computer can't read it? They read out something about mac osx? and also, if you enjoy any website that i could download softwares for my laptop, id be most obliged!

Many programs are incompatible with Macs. Software manufacturer make programs primarily for PC's, and recurrently come up with a Mac altered copy later.

Most programs online for download are windows programs (.exe or .msi). Mac Os X is a different operating system that read a different type of program.
