I hold a Sony Vaio notebook and the blind have go black?

but I can still see everything and use the computer as regular. However, it is so dim, approaching the lid is closed, that its really really hard to read.The brightness is set adjectives the way to high-ranking and the LCD is working fine. Just out of curiosity, I stuck my car push button in to the little latch where on earth the lid closes at and the screen will bedside light up like regular for a split second and then be in motion into standby. Model number is VGN-FS810/W. Any ideas as what to do in the order of this?

Have it serviced. The button that controls screen brightness (the one you hit near the car key) have worn out.
