I hold a philips dvd writer. When i put some dvds it make a grinding nouns and my system hang.relief?

how can i maintain my dvd writer in the best running condition?

Answer:

Well, for one entry you should not only use spray can on important parts inside of the machinery (not directly on fan or fans on the power supply part inside) but what you really should do is first try a lens cleaner disc. (easy to find at Radioshack, for example unless you're not a fan of them.)

Use that disc inside and it will verbs the lens inside of your unit import all the dust and grime accumulate over time.

If you're still hearing the grinding, check the inside panel where on earth the dvd's go contained by and make sure there's no indiscriminate object lay on top of the lens or anything in the vicinity it.

But yeah, the greatest thing you can do is hold on to little kids away from the unit and probably you'll be okay regardless. If your unit's internal hardware is in actual fact faulty later that would be a pretty big factor.

Have you contacted philips support? That's usually a very fitting first step since their help might supersede mine.

Thanks for considering!

depends on how behind the times it is, if it is older it might be better to dish out the 60-80 bones to take another one. Besides the obvious cleaning near laser cleaner and not throwing water on it, in that is not much you can do to them unless you know how to repair them yourself. i would not reccomend taking it apart if you have no clue what you are doing
