I own a current macbook pro but it's giving me some trouble when connected to the internet?

It's fine when plugged contained by at my house, but when I bring it to a local coffee shop that offers wireless internet, it is awfully very slow. my boyfriend have a dell lap top that uses surrounded by the same coffee shop and it does not own this problem. has anyone have any similar problems?

Answer:

Hello bellamuerte,

It could be your Internet settings. Under the blue Apple logo is a location menu command. You can set a bunch of different Internet connection settings on one and the same computer. This is great for laptops that move around, like you do. You can hold a different setting for connecting your MacBook from your home, a dial-up, coffee shops, Work, or your folk's house, etc.

The Mac OS normally is competent to figure out which is the fastest nouns for your computer and what's available. Put your location in Automatic menu test and that might speed things up for you.

Also your boyfriend with the cheap Dell, might hold all of his favorite trellis sites already in his browser's cache so it loads up pretty hurriedly, just close to the ones you go to habitually.

It could be the type of wireless server that is at the local coffee shop, better suited for pcs... but it shouldn't really be any worse than a Dell - contained by fact it should be better. Check into whether or not different servers are more powerful for pcs compared to macs and vice-versa. Try reading up on basic internet facts at:

Hope you solve your problem, perfect luck!
