Basically any recovery disc will do as long as you enjoy the serial number of your laptop which is on the label on the bottom of the laptop which you use when you register window you can borrow recovery discs and use them. Maybe you could try your local computer shop and they will lend you a disc for a nominal payment or if you know someone with window they will lend you theirs or you might be able to create a bright recovery disc from your concrete drive if you havent already created one - the important piece is the genuine window serial number, as long as you don't lose that you should be ok. you call for the model disk for your machine, for one piece, say you can go and get a dell recovery disk it wont even run because it wont certify the pc as a dell.for another entity, you wont have the proper system drivers on another branded disk. try the manuf's website and see if they can convey you one. there may be a small excise but it will be a heck of alot cheaper than buying a fresh copy of windows
