Now it say to put the two screws backbone in place but beside the new tricky drive the screws won't row up WHATS WRONG?

Call Dell and tell them you are too stupid to own a computer. Maybe they will recount you the obvious.
P.S. Did you try to install the drive upside down?
YOU MAY NEED TO REPLACE THE RAILS THAT THE HARDRIVE SLIDE INTO. or if you hold the luxary of having a tool free suitcase then you will merely need to install one screw on respectively side and slide it into the case untill it clicks the built contained by rails will save it from sliding around in the grip. cool huh
