Contact a leptop repair specialist, replaceing the eyeshade is not a simple process. You also need the EXACT model of laptop, sometimes a model No covers a mixture of revisions

Generally a screen replacement can cost up to the cost of the laptop, so commonly better to bite bullet and upgrade
You will be looking at $200 minimum and that's if you do the installation yourself.

Check eBay.
Here is a link to HP/Compaq parts site, looks approaching you would be better off getting a modern laptop or just hook it up to a typical monitor.

Parts for your notebook are looking pricey.

Thats just one of the three that model uses. But as it have been said, that varying the LCD is a very envolving process. Make sure you enjoy a service manual and plenty of baggies until that time you think roughly speaking getting into this.
I would contact a company like http://www.screentekinc.com or http://www.lcdscreen.com and see if they can back you.
